Tips To Choose A Suitable School For Your Kids

kids at school

Does your child reach the age to start school, and you are confused about school selection? Choosing the right school for your kids is their primary right. A school and education system decides what your child will learn and implement in their practical life. In many countries, there is one syllabus, so it is easy in those countries to decide about school.

But there are so many countries where different codes and syllabuses are running, which frustrates the parents to choose what's suitable for their children.

There is no hard and fast rule to decide a school.

Every parent wants to raise a happy and healthy kid. For that, they make up maximum resources to fulfill that job. In the same way, choosing a school can also be triggering as there are so many points to notice.

Let's discuss those pain points and focus on them one by one.

Check Your Finances

One of the main points in deciding on a suitable school is their fee schedule. Check your resources and estimate how much you can afford. It's not about a single-day issue as you have to pay for the whole career. So think and take an estimate practically.

Rather than the fee, there are so many things that demand money, as in some countries, School demand funds in terms of

  • Paper or exam charges

  • Security fee

  • Parking fee

  • Tour fee

  • Parties fund

  • Laboratory fund

  • Library fund

  • And many more.

So before deciding on a suitable school, check on all these expenses and then select. As changing schools can be heavy on your pocket regarding admission fees, take time, visit schools and then make a unanimous decision.

Access Your Child

activities in school

After fee evaluation, the other thing one needs to focus on is the abilities and concerns of kids.

Mark up the affordable school. And mention their top features

Now make a list of your child's attributes and interests.

If your child is more into science and practical, go for the school whose focus is laboratories.

If your kid loves to play more, choose the school with more names in sports and focus on healthy activities.

For a child who loves books, select a school with a library and a vast syllabus.

The main thing is to keep your kid happy in school, so it's your responsibility to make the most suitable decision.

Make A List Of Nearby Schools

Coming towards the next point, choose the school near your place. You need to be there in case of an emergency. If you both are working parents, select a school near your workplace.

The real thing is to keep yourself available for your kids in school timing. This will not only give peace to you but also brings confidence to your kids.

Visit Schools

Never choose a school by word of mouth. Your kid's education is the base of his life, so visit schools. You can ask the school to visit their grounds, halls, libraries, and other essential school places.

By roaming around, you will easily judge whether your child will settle there or not.

Meet with the teachers and access their theories about teaching methods. This will make it more clear whether your kid will settle in this environment or not.

Meet With Principal

The principal and school heads are the real face of the school environment and all other scenarios. As the head of the house, you decide what goes in the place and whatnot. A school principal's behavior and theologies will help you decide the right school for your kids.

Keep Five Things At Priority

Every parent has different priorities so keep your preferences in check.

For me, five things are most important

  • The school must teach self-discipline

  • They must focus on co-curricular activities as I love to see my child excelling in sports than studies.

  • Fee check

  • Less homework

  • They must give lessons in different languages. I love to speak other languages as they break up the barrier of other communities.

Community Involvement

The other thing I will check is how much they involve parents in their activities. And how much they keep me updated about my child report.

So I will check the community involvement with the school.

Check Reputation

Last but not least, after deciding on the school I will ask other parents whose kids are in that school about the school's reputation.

The product user can give the original review, so I will see how the school environment and all other parameters are.

Verdict

Schools are the primary place where your kid learns life lessons. So as a parent, it is your responsibility to choose the right school for your kid.

School decides the future of your kids. So choose wisely.

Are You Single Parent And have Depression? Read This Post.

single parent

Single parenting puts extra strain on single parents that lead to ` the development of depression in them. Parenting is not an easy task, even when both parents are involved. But in such cases, parenting duties are divided between the two, and both get the chance to breathe. In single parenting, one has to do all the tasks within the house and outside the home. Single parents have to deal with so many unwanted and unbearable conditions single-handedly without any help. All such conditions and helplessness cause depression in them. Here I will discuss some of the keen parameters that become the source of depression in single parents.

Guilt For Doing Less

emotional single mother

Single parents have to fight both household and workplace challenges. Their children rely on them for financial as well as nurture needs. But to run both the places, they have to leave one at a time. In recent age, a few single parents can have the luxury of doing online work from home. But most of them have to go to offices to make ends meet. During this time of the day, they have no other option but to leave their children at nurseries or daycare centers. They know they are doing it for their children but the guilt of not being with their children constantly eats them up.

Sometimes, single parents manage time for themselves, which is suitable for their mental peace, but again guilt is there. This guilt of doing less for their children produces depression in single parents, and depression is a tough pill to swallow. This depression makes for them already a difficult task, single parenting more difficult.

Fear Of Lagging Behind

Single parenting makes it difficult for single parents to find time for their growth. They can not find time to groom themselves. Also, they can not excel in their work because of their burdens. They are not accomplishing enough in their professions, lacking self-grooming, and not having time cause depression. Some of the females become single mothers at a very young age.

Such mothers have to compromise on their emotional and hormonal needs for having time for themselves. This causes a fear of losing their youth in them. And the fear of losing their childhood. All such things collectively have a significantly negative impact on single parents and dwell them in depression.

Loads Of Work Suffocate Sometimes

Single parents are in a constant struggle of becoming sufficient for their children. They have to go beyond their capacities to fulfill this. Despite having a bit of help from daycare centers, they have to do a lot of work alone.

There are no holidays for single parents. The same is the case in parenting, where both are involved, but there is no shift of duties in single parenting. Single parents have to do all the stuff all day and every day. This constant grind suffocates them often or if they have commendable stamina, sometimes. They feel choked and buried by loads of work. The choking and suffocation take single parents to depression.

Anger Issues

Constantly being available for their children make single parents grump. They face anger issues. This negatively impacts their professional growth and mental and emotional disability in their children. The people around such parents should show empathy towards them, but this is not the case in practical life. The boss and colleagues do not consider single parents to be doing their maximum.

Children can not comprehend the situation their parents are going through at home. They start distancing themselves from their parents. The bond between children and single parents does not grow well. This makes single parents depressed and worried.

Financial Burdens

Single parents have to give time to their children at home too, that's why they fall back on their incomes. As single parents are the sole earning source for their homes, they always need more money. With the money they make in the minimal time of the day, they can not run their houses, afford good food and schools for their children. Being financially unstable and seeing their children lacking in so many basic needs make single parents depressed.

Feeling Abandoned

depression of being single parent

Feeling alone and abandoned is the core reason for depression. Not anyone more than single parents go through this feeling of abandonment. They constantly mourn or hate their partners who died or left them, respectively. They do not have other persons to blame for their shortcomings as most of us do. This habit gives relief for the time being. But single parents have to blame them for all the deficiencies they have in their and their children's lives. The feeling of loneliness and abandonment accompany them to depression.

Verdict:

Single parenting is the most difficult task one can have gone through in their life. Single parents went through many negative emotions such as anger, grief, loneliness, suffocation, abandonment, and guilt. All these negative energies make them depressed. That's why depression is the most common disease among single parents. We should be considerate and empathetic towards single parents and feel loved and supported. I hope this blog will encourage anyone out there in helping single parents.

Does Good Parenting Demands To Look After a Growing Child

parents with kids

Good parenting demands looking after a growing child. Primarily everyone recommends parents develop trust with their children. Let children be in their private bubbles. Do not invade the privacy of your children. Having a level of trust with your children is good. But this new age of the Internet does not support the idea of letting children on their own as the Internet and its social media sites have very dark sides that children should not be exposed to. Also, schools are no longer safe places for your children. So parents should look after their kids in schools too. Here I will share some of my points on how to look after your child in all aspects.

New Age And The Need Of The Internet

Providing your children with gadgets is the need of this advanced age. The Internet has become a necessity for studies. So parents offer their children mobile phones, tablets, or laptops to facilitate them in their studies. But the Internet has access to so many things children should not know about. To save your child from the nudity, vulgarity, and obscenity present on the Internet platforms is essential. You can do this by keeping a check on your children.

You should monitor what they are watching and whom they follow on social media. Share your social media sites with your children, so you can quickly check their scrolling. Install YouTube for kids to screen their content. Do all these things cleverly without your children realizing them. Otherwise, they will start thinking negatively about you. Develop a friendly relationship with your children, so they share the things they watch with you.

Drugs In The Schools

The use of drugs is becoming fashionable these days. The trend of using drugs or any form of it has reached schools and colleges. To fit into the environment or become even in the situation, children start taking drugs. The responsibility of parents is to make their children self-realized, self-sufficient, and aware of right or wrong. It would help if you made your kids stand for their values and not fall into the trap of being relatable. Make your kids firm on the grounds of truthfulness and sanity. Make yourself an excellent example for your children to follow. Please do not use such things in front of them. Such things are bad for your kids' health and taking habits. This will help your kids keep them away from using drugs and bad habits.

Along with teaching your kids good morals, keep in touch with their school management and teachers. Ask them about the environment of the school. Also, before admitting your kid into school, take information about that school first. This will help you provide your kids good environment at schools as well.

Know Their Friends

It is very important to know the friends of your children. First of all, teach them the difference between good and bad people and respect everyone. Teach them to choose their friends with mindfulness. Also, teach them to respect others; however, they are by keeping a reasonable distance. Make friends with the parents of your children's friends. Do it without making it obvious. Invite your kids' friends and their parents for dinner at your home and also go to their homes. This will help you know the type of company your kids are having. This way, you can keep a good check on your kids.

 Verdict

Keeping a check on your children is a basic demand of good parenting. Parents can not leave their children on their own. Only teaching and making your kids learn good habits can not save them from going wrong. You should monitor each step of your children to make them gentle and wise through the way of their growth. Parents have to do such monitoring subtly by not hurting their children's trust. This responsibility is not easy but very much necessary for the good brought up of your kids.

I hope these points will help you in any way possible. Tell me about your tactics of keeping an eye on your children in the comments.

Valentine's Day! Let's Make It A Family Event.

                valentines day, family day

Valentine's day is love. If you are not a new couple and can't go outside without kids, make this love date a family date.

In the age of technology, there is the hustle and bustle so far, and such days can bring charm. So plan a valentine with your kids and make it a family event. Every event is specified, but there can be changes according to your family terms, so don't hesitate to make it a family event as it will give some life lessons to your kids.

What Is Love?

Love is the most powerful feeling on this earth as it connects people. Love bonding is the base of a strong relationship. This is the feeling that makes one person special to others. A famous writer quotes it.

“Everyone appreciates a good thing by if you like the bad of someone then you are in love.”

The most important relationship on this planet is kids' love, and don't miss a single day to celebrate as you are blessed to have kids.

What Is Valentine Day?

Let's talk specifically about valentine's days. It has a deep history, but before discussing the event's history, it is also important to mention that it is forbidden in some religions and cultures. If I talk about Pakistan, Bangladesh, and India, it's not in the cultural or religious norms to celebrate such an event, but you can change the meaning to make it a family day.

Every day is a family day, yes it is. But as a responsible parent, you have to earn well, raise a happy child, fulfill their educational and other daily basis needs and demands, so in all these hecks you are challenging to spend the holidays. So make this event accordingly. Every year this day is celebrated on the 14th of February. Before moving on to how to celebrate this event with family; let's scratch the history.

History of Valentines Day

Saint Valentine was a Rome-based priest. According to the emperor of that time, unmarried soldiers are more beneficial for the country than married. The priest thought it an injustice, and he secretly married the soldiers. After revealing it, the emperor chose to kill Valentine. So at that time, the people of Rome decided to celebrate that day in the priest's name. But it is not necessary to celebrate this day as a love affair; it can be among different relations or married couples.

How To Celebrate With Kids

                         valentine day with kids

Here are the tips on how you can celebrate valentines day with your family at home.

  • Tell your kids about the event and tell them that love is the most crucial factor in this world.

  • You can ask them to make love cards for your father and mother, or even siblings. This will instigate them to do something creative and artistic.

  • Also, tell them love can be given to everyone, you can feed a kitten or puppy. If they want, they can invite any pet to this event.

  • Arranging a surprise table will be a great thing.

  • Arrange a one-on-one talk session with your kids and tell them the event means to be celebrated with love and affection, and it's not about buying expensive stuff.

  • Ask your kids to give flowers to your mother and father. This will provide them with the lesson that a gift belongs to the heart; money doesn't matter.

  • A gratitude note. Exchange gratitude notes with your family and speaks through the heart.

  • Play a valentines memory game where you can memorize the love moments.

  • Exchange the hugs and surprise with your spouse; it will teach them that relations are more important than love affairs. This gesture will deliver to them the importance of marriage.

  • A family photo with parents and grandparents is the most important thing. Through these pictures, you can also make a valentine tree or your family love tree.

  • Make a family dinner, make jokes, gossip, and watch any good family season.

  • A well-spent day is love, and for me, it is the base of a happy family and the true meaning of valentines day.

Verdict

A wise man said, “Every day is the last day, and spent it like that.” So don't miss celebrating a single moment of your life. May this valentines day be the base of your happy family.

If you have any other things in your mind to celebrate this event, share them with me. We will do it next time. So don't forget to write in comment sections,
