Does Good Parenting Demands To Look After a Growing Child

parents with kids

Good parenting demands looking after a growing child. Primarily everyone recommends parents develop trust with their children. Let children be in their private bubbles. Do not invade the privacy of your children. Having a level of trust with your children is good. But this new age of the Internet does not support the idea of letting children on their own as the Internet and its social media sites have very dark sides that children should not be exposed to. Also, schools are no longer safe places for your children. So parents should look after their kids in schools too. Here I will share some of my points on how to look after your child in all aspects.

New Age And The Need Of The Internet

Providing your children with gadgets is the need of this advanced age. The Internet has become a necessity for studies. So parents offer their children mobile phones, tablets, or laptops to facilitate them in their studies. But the Internet has access to so many things children should not know about. To save your child from the nudity, vulgarity, and obscenity present on the Internet platforms is essential. You can do this by keeping a check on your children.

You should monitor what they are watching and whom they follow on social media. Share your social media sites with your children, so you can quickly check their scrolling. Install YouTube for kids to screen their content. Do all these things cleverly without your children realizing them. Otherwise, they will start thinking negatively about you. Develop a friendly relationship with your children, so they share the things they watch with you.

Drugs In The Schools

The use of drugs is becoming fashionable these days. The trend of using drugs or any form of it has reached schools and colleges. To fit into the environment or become even in the situation, children start taking drugs. The responsibility of parents is to make their children self-realized, self-sufficient, and aware of right or wrong. It would help if you made your kids stand for their values and not fall into the trap of being relatable. Make your kids firm on the grounds of truthfulness and sanity. Make yourself an excellent example for your children to follow. Please do not use such things in front of them. Such things are bad for your kids' health and taking habits. This will help your kids keep them away from using drugs and bad habits.

Along with teaching your kids good morals, keep in touch with their school management and teachers. Ask them about the environment of the school. Also, before admitting your kid into school, take information about that school first. This will help you provide your kids good environment at schools as well.

Know Their Friends

It is very important to know the friends of your children. First of all, teach them the difference between good and bad people and respect everyone. Teach them to choose their friends with mindfulness. Also, teach them to respect others; however, they are by keeping a reasonable distance. Make friends with the parents of your children's friends. Do it without making it obvious. Invite your kids' friends and their parents for dinner at your home and also go to their homes. This will help you know the type of company your kids are having. This way, you can keep a good check on your kids.

 Verdict

Keeping a check on your children is a basic demand of good parenting. Parents can not leave their children on their own. Only teaching and making your kids learn good habits can not save them from going wrong. You should monitor each step of your children to make them gentle and wise through the way of their growth. Parents have to do such monitoring subtly by not hurting their children's trust. This responsibility is not easy but very much necessary for the good brought up of your kids.

I hope these points will help you in any way possible. Tell me about your tactics of keeping an eye on your children in the comments.

How Effectively Household Chores Impact On The Child Growth?

household chores

Household chores have an effective impact on the growth of children. Some of the parents think indulging children in work snatch their time of playing. They will learn chores when they become adults but they ignore the benefits that come with this activity. Children learn basic life skills such as patience, teamwork, and time management by doing small tasks with their family members at home. These qualities help them in their student as well as in professional lives in the long term.

Here I will discuss the best qualities that children can get skilled at by doing household chores.

Work Management

Parents can make their children learn work management by keeping them busy with household chores.  Giving a deadline for completing household tasks helps kids in managing assigned work in a given time. Doing many household chores such as cleaning, dusting, and dishing produce various management skills. These skills include saving resources such as water, doing more work in less time, creating less mess, and time management. All these skills help children in their whole life.

Work Ethics

Work ethics is something a person needs in their whole life. So it is better if one learned them an early age because habits of early age last long. You can develop work ethics in your children by teaching them the importance of doing household chores. Do not make any work less important in front of your children. Teach your children to respect their work, work fellows and make them punctual in performing their tasks. Some children do not like a sort of work like washing dishes but make them do that with politeness. This will teach your kids to respect all kinds of work despite not liking them.

Household chores And Patience Are Intertwined

disciplined kids

Children can learn patience while doing household chores. There are a lot of household chores that need much time for their completion. Your children can get bored by doing laundry and cleaning. But if you make them consistent in doing their work they will get skilled at patience. This habit of consistency will help them in their professional as well as personal life afterward.

Patience is a common life skill both girls and boys should be good at. So indulge both your daughters and sons in the house works for their better growth.

A Habit Of Helping Others And Teamwork

kind kids

By helping parents in doing housework, children learn the habit of helping others. Helping others and working in a team are the basic manners needed in school assignments and jobs. It is better to teach kids such manners at an early age. If this habit is not instilled in children, they get bothered by their mates and can not work in groups. And such kids perform terribly in their student life and careers.

Good Bonding Between Parents And Children

When parents involve their kids in house chores with them, they get time to share. In this fast-paced life, where everyone is working. So sometimes both parents do work to make their both ends meet and to give their children more than that. Most parents spend a lot of time at their jobs. And the rest of their time gets used to household chores.

They barely find time to spend with children. Sharing time while doing household chores is the best opportunity parents can avail. Sharing time develops a mutual bond of love and care between children and parents.  Children who have such bonding with their parents grow as confident, self-reliant, and happy in their lives.

A Sense Of Gratitude

Children never understand the amount of work their parents do for them. That's why they start taking things casually. If you involve your children in work at home, a sense of gratitude will develop in them. They will start to value you more. Your children will respect you for doing all the things you do for them. Your children will start taking responsibility for themselves and will put less burden on you. Such children complain less and thank more. This habit of gratitude and of less complaining helps children in the long term.

Verdict

Parents should not take the early years of their children for granted. Do not consider them just for playing and having fun. I know playing is the foremost thing your children should be doing in their early life. Playing along with providing enjoyment, also teaches your kid sportsman spirit and courage to face defeat. The same is the case with household chores. These basic works teach your kids lifelong lessons of gratitude, patience, and ethics. Also, lessons from an early age get imprinted on the brain and last forever.

I hope this blog will convince you to involve your children in household chores in a playful manner. Pour me with your pieces of advice regarding this matter in the comment section.

Ways Good Parenting Can Help Prevent Bullying And Harassment.

bullying and harassment

Good parenting can help a child identify and stop bullying and harassment of oneself and others. Bullying and harassment are intentional verbal and practical abuse that impact children's physique and psyche. In schools, it also shows the loose control of teachers on students and bad parenting. If it goes unnoticed, it impacts children's mental health drastically. It makes the victims lack in their student lives.

Below are the habits to instill in your children to prevent bullying and harassment. Here I will give you some of the practices I followed during my children's upbringing. I hope a few of this advice will help you raise an excellent, empathetic child.

Teach Your Kids, What Is Bullying And Harassment?

The foremost and vital step is to make your child sense the happening of bullying and harassment. Sometimes it is so underlined it becomes difficult to recognize in the first place. It would help your children learn about bad and good touch and behavior. Teach your children about the types and levels of bullying and harassment. Make your kids respect all races, colors, and ethnicities. Saying something means someone's religion, caste, and ethnicity is not okay, even in lighter mode. Advise your children to be friends with the outclassed kid in their class. Such learning will help your kids in identifying bullying and harassment being done.

Make Your Kids Self Sufficient And Brave:

Stop someone from doing something that does not feel right to you needs courage. Being vocal about the rights of oneself and others can not be done without being brave. Make your kids brave and self-sufficient by behaving bravely in front of them. Do not talk about your children's fears, complexions, and shortcomings.

Children idolize their parents, so sometimes your children even start beautifying your fears and adopting them. Make them brave enough to call out the bullies and stop them from harassment and bullying. Tell your kids not to wait for others to approve their stance against bullies and do what they believe is right alone.

Confidence Is A Must Develop Skill:

making a child confident

Parents can make their children confident about their bodies, colors, ethnicity, and religion by giving them respect. If you make fun of the disabilities of your children, they become conscious of their specific shortcomings. Such behavior of yours can perish their confidence. To make your child stop bullying, you must make them confident. Reaching out to someone either for consoling them or preventing them from doing something negative needs confidence.

Do Not Call Your Children With Bad Names At Home:

Good parenting needs effort and thoughts. You can not call your child terrible names and teach them not to call others bad names. It would help if you made yourself an example of a good human being. Calling bad names to your children makes their personalities very dumb and dull. Rather than standing for others, such children can not even stand for their rights. They start thinking about themselves as someone of low value. Whatever happens to them in school, they can not tell you about that because you are their place of comfort.

Do Not Make Bullying A Trivial Matter:

Sometimes parents go unbothered with bullying and harassment of their children by family members. They make it something done for fun and enjoyment. Children also start taking the negative energies put towards them as normal behavior. You should not be that kind of parent. Do not make bullying and harassment of your kid and others a trivial matter and never get along with it. If you are an aggressive person on average, change your behavior with your kids. Do not make rage a normal feeling for them.

Children from such households behave aggressively towards others without noticing it as bullying and harassment. Make your children lovely, kind, and sympathetic by your good behavior towards them.

Develop High Moral Values In Kids:

High morals and principles are suitable to be instilled in your kids. Parents and other members of the family who are around the kids can play pivotal roles in developing standards of good living and beliefs. Make them learn from right to wrong. They should be clear about what is right and wrong for them. You should not develop gray areas for them regarding moral values. Otherwise, they will become confused in situations of bullying and harassment on which side they should stand. Tell your kids to speak the truth in such cases.

To play safely in such situations always helps the oppressor. Suppose there is a student in your child's class being bullied by other students. Teach your kid to talk to that victim and other class fellows to be kind toward him. Sometimes students use bullying as a tactic to get attention.

Your kid should have his values to differentiate between actual bullying and a fake impression of it.

Make Them Stand For Others:

make friendship

Standing for yourself is sometimes easy as it is a human instinct to protect itself. Standing for others needs some things more than just being brave, courageous, and confident. Empathy is a skill that can only be learned, not inherited. Make your kids empathetic by helping others in front of them. Surround your kids with compassionate people. Tell them to make good friends that can stand for others. Teach your kid to communicate with teachers and the school principal if an event of bullying and harassment is being played in their classroom.

Verdict

Students who have faced bullying in their student life grow with very under-confident and compressed personalities. They constantly think about that one thing in their character for which they are bullied. So their focus from main events shift, and they fall short in their grades. Parents can make their children aware of bullying and harassment from a very early age and be vocal against it. Sometimes the figures who have to rectify it do it themselves, such as teachers.

Bullying and harassment from teachers get imprinted on students' brains and can haunt them for the time being. So the critical responsibility falls on the parents to make their children aware of and against it.

Good parenting is not something that one can not achieve. By following a few of the advice mentioned above, you can make your kid's good human beings who can empathize and stand for others. Such qualities can change the narrative of your kid, not only of himself but also of others. You can only do this by raising your kid mindfully. Tell me in the comments if you ever go through such a hard situation in your life. Also, give me some of the practices you did to prevent bullying and harassment.

Happy parenting,

Raising A Responsible Kid, How To Make It Possible?

responsible kid

Raising a responsible kid is the duty of parents as every parent wants their child to be kind, trustworthy, and responsible. To fulfill this dream, there is a need to add some rules and practices in life. Responsibility is not into nature and instinct, it's a habit that needs to be spiced up in the growing period of a child.

A child is a life project for parents, and their responsible behavior makes life easy and proud. Children love self-esteem, and they also love to be responsible. Being responsible is not an overnight process; it takes time as you can take just one step at a time.

How to raise a responsible kid? This is the daunting question almost every parent asks. This post will help you raise a responsible kid; you just need to follow the steps mentioned below.

I am a mother of two boys, and my boys are behaving well and responsible because I always focus on the larger goals, and here is the extract of those rules.

Teach Them; Your Mess Is Your Responsibility

One of the central aspects of making a kid responsible is to teach them to take responsibility for their mess. Commonly we offer help in handling small things, and our kids move forward by leaving that mess. I will strongly suggest here don't move; stick to the situation until you and your kids clean their mess.

If your child spilled milk, don't say it loud and shout but tell them gently it is entirely ok, but now we have to clean this mess. Teach her by cleaning the spilled milk with a piece of towel or tissue, giving them the lesson of responsibility.

Bring this into their instinct that it is the responsibility of every individual to clean out their mess. As you mess is the shit for others, don't create difficulties and make life easy.

Be Kind And Sympathetic

What beautiful words these two are, kind and sympathetic. These attributes can be in the nature of a kid, but the role model and practice can sharpen these. How can you make a child kind and sympathetic?

The answer is telling them the importance of behaving as a role model. It would be best if you were kind with your helpers and subordinates and it will give them lessons to be kind.

If your son bothers or hurts your daughter's feelings, never tell him about sorry; ask him, if this happens to you, will you feel bad? If yes, then the same goes for others. This practice will help to make them responsible and kind—the ultimate attribute to living a successful life on earth.

Fix "No Blame" Policy

The common habit of the human being is to keep his blame on others and feel relaxed. Every time people love to blame their failure on luck, situation, and finances, then they feel comfortable. Fixing the “no blame “policy in your house and tell your kids it is not the ultimate solution. Blaming others cannot bring success but only passiveness.

Teach them to accept their faults, own them and move on with the new strategy. This is the road map of a successful path.

Don't Order, Just Discuss

My favorite point in keeping the kids organized and well-behaved is to discuss things. I never asked my daughter to clean the table. I always ask who uses this and to whom it should be cleaned? This brings a sense of responsibility.

At a tender age, I always asked her about my tasks as after taking a tea, should I wash this cup or you? She replied instantly, you should. Did I ask why? Mom because you take a tea. And this is my motive to make her responsible for accepting the duties.

Now she is a grown-up child, and she is doing all her chores smartly and with responsibility.

Don't Let Them Back To Their Commitments.

Remember, relatively all the flexibilities, you are the parent, and you have to tell your kids about right and wrong. Fix some boundaries and set some rules. If your child commits to doing dishwashing after an hour, it means he has to do it.

Don't let them back to their commitments as it will bring irresponsibility. So what you can do in this regard?

  • Keep a check on the time they mentioned doing a task

  • Wait strictly for that time

  • Give them a gentle reminder

  • Then bring your parental mood on and cut off from your one commitment

  • This will teach them how it feels to go back to their obligations.

Teach Them To Be Responsible In Money Saving

responsible kids saving money

This aspect can bring tremendous change in your home and life. Every country's economy is shattering nowadays. It's our responsibility as a parent to ask our children to do saving for the future.

When I was a child, my father sent me to the farms to collect some cherries and save money for the school party. That money was very dear to me as I put effort into earning that. This theory must be transferred to generations as saving money can make them responsible and help in unfavorable circumstances.

Assign House Chores

assign house chores responsibility

Assigning house chores to your kids brings responsibility and helps in making your bond stronger. You can involve them in fixing the cushions and bedsheets at an early age. At the age of 3, a baby can match the socks, and this activity is constructive in building their cognitive intuition.

A four years old child can stack one person's clothes from a large bundle or settle their toy room; at 5, a kid can set his study table and make his school bag, and so on.

Aim to explain this to make your kids involved in house chores will help in raising a  responsible kid.

Don't Follow The Crowd.

We, as a parent, never appreciate the different things, but we should. One of my friend and role models in parenting always ask their children to favor the right thing either the whole world is against that. She always insists their kids take a stand and be responsible if someone needs them.

Don't Jump For Bail.

Mothers are emotional creatures, but we should not for the sake of our kids. Mistakes are a part of life, and if our kids make the mistakes, we usually jump to justify their mistakes. This gives them a message of help and savage; so be ready in future situations, they will ask for your help or tell a lie to save themselves.

Let your children bear out the fruit of their sowing, and it will make them responsible for making decisions and stick on them.

Make A Habit Of Written Schedule

I constantly witness the habit among responsible persons, which is making notes of their schedule. They make their whole body and all senses reliable to do a task.

It would be best if you introduced this practice in tour home, ask your kids to write what they have to do tomorrow, this will make them responsible and not allow them to back their commitment.

Amm, I forgot, I was busy, and such excused can be minimized by developing a habit of written schedule.

Be Accountable And Responsible Model For Them

To raise a responsible kid, first, you need to be a responsible parent or person for society. Accept your responsibilities and fulfill them. Never find lame excused in front of your kids, except learn to say sorry and move on.

If you made any mistake, accept it with an open heart and make a loud commitment not to do it next time. You are the role models of your kids, and you have to be asked what you raise for a

society. So be careful in choices and rules.

Verdict

Responsible kids are the backbone of a prosperous society, and for that, parents need to learn how to raise a responsible kid. Responsible kids are the responsible grown-up of the community that helps in making a responsible nation. This all begins from your lap. So parents are conscious and behave responsibly.

Which points help you in making your kids responsible? Tell me in your comments.

Cheers.
